Our Elia Dress features voluminous tiers of artfully shirred stitch shibori fabric. A tunnel at the neck allows for versatile and personalized coverage at both front and back. 

A twist on the resist dye techniques of india and japan, our stitch shibori is a painstaking process that involves accordian pleating the fabric from selvedge to selvedge, running it through with 40 to 50 rows of stitching, dyeing the fabric, and then removing all of the stitch lines and engineering the pattern created to blend perfectly with its paired garment. 

We’ve reimagined this technique for summer in the finest cotton voile, and dyed the fabric to variegated levels of a cool crisp black.
